Delorean!

I saw a Delorean at The Polynesian!!! It was incredible, and you could donate to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (https://www.michaeljfox.org/). The coolest part is that it is totally driveable and street legal! 

Christina and I ate at Raglan Road at Downtown Disney (originally we were going to eat at T-Rex but they were running an hour late with tables). Raglan Road is incredible, I love eating there!

 They thought I was 21 so we got to eat at the bar. The bartender offered us cocktails but I opted for pineapple and cranberry juice! 

For tea we shared a lots of yummy food!

I've been having such a great time lately with the girls at work! I really am going to miss them :( And I've found a way to send money home without having to pay a wire fee of $50

Sci Fi let down

I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO EAT AT THE SCI FI DINE-IN THEATER!

But alas, it was much like 50's Prime Time Cafe, a very sad sad let down of excitement.

After a 20 minute wait, even with my advanced lunch reservations I was seated in a super adorable car. With random people so that was slightly awkward (I would have photos of what it all looked like but flash photography was a big no-no). I was once again given the wrong meal by a very rude waiter. And I then had to spend the next 15 minutes trying to find my waiter so I could give it back and get what I actually order. And then when it did come out it wasn't all that nice. I mean the sweet potato fries were heavenly but they were very cold as was the burger. The vegetable burger fell flat on taste and well basically everything. Which is a pity as I had been dying to eat here since I arrived :(

 After lunch I decided to once again watch Lights Motors Action (LMA). I bought mums Beaker along for the experience. I would have to say hands down this is my favourite show at Disney World. It is great.

 I splurged and bought the two tee shirts I have been eyeing (haha get it) off. I figured why the heck not, they will make great souvenirs of my work locations/attractions.

Monsters University

Went and saw Monsters University last night. IT WAS AMAZING! Very nice job Pixar - I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it but it is a must see, especially for teenagers. It is quite relatable. The cinema at Downtown Disney is incredible. 3 stories and it has over 100 drink options as well as a frozen yogurt bar. WOW. Plus as a Cast Member we receive discount!

Muppet Ladies night out

 After the movie we went to Earl of Sandwich for a late night dinner. I decided to try something different and went for the Baja Chicken salad. It had corn, black beans, grilled chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and avocado in it. Very delicious.

We watched the saxaphone player for a little bit and found this food truck before heading home around 11pm. It was a very fun night out.

2 months till hometime!

2 months till I fly home. Wow. Time is passing by so incredibly fast. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I am super excited to be going home so I can get everything sorted and fixed but at the same time I seriously love it here. Maybe not so much the whole ICP program but the friends that I have made and the experiences I am learning from. 

Things I won't be missing include stacking those purple 3D glasses after a full 580 person show by myself, the abuse hurled at me by rude guests and the CP buses. Such a nightmare those buses are. Thursday no bus turned up for over 2 and a half hours. Last night no bus came for over an hour. Some days they just don't turn up at all. So expect to be late at least once. I always arrive at work super early because I never know when the buses are going to be running or not. 

Everyone has been really sick lately with some stomach bug going around so I am hoping that I won't pick it up, I already have 3 points on my record card so I can't afford anymore! 

The highlight of these last few days include a little boy becoming quite alarmed over the fact that I had an octopus on my head (I wear my hair up in a little bun thing on the top of my head as it is way too hot to be wearing it down) and a squirrel fell out of its tree and hit me on the head. Don't worry, he was fine!! 

Spurs suck

Stuck at home today with my stupid knee instead of working my first Jedi shift on my own. Not very happy. But I guess it is for the best - rest up and try and not make my spur any larger.

It doesn't help that my tiger balm is staining my leg a wonderful yellow colour and I constantly feel like throwing up. Looking forward to coming home and getting this sorted out. I did however finally get some sleep. I didn't wake up till 10am this morning. That made me feel a little better.

I think this heat is making guests ruder than normal! Yesterday I had a gentleman tell me I was too skinny for his liking and he was going to complain about it to Guest Relations and then today a lady asked where did I buy my wig from because there was no way my hair could naturally be this curly. And this was on top of the 6 or so prams that were stolen from Muppets today.

Walmart has been a lifesaver lately, if you order $45 worth of stuff or more they will ship it to your place for free! With the crazy shifts and hours I've been working I have been finding it super hard to get to the supermarket to stock up on everything I need. Instead I order things such as toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste etc from Walmart and get them to send it to Patterson and then when I have the time I walk to the Publix down the road for fruits and vegetables. 

It's been stinking hot here, 105F today! And it storms every single freaking day. Sometimes I wonder how Florida can be everyone's favourite place to retire! 

100F

I just found out I'm working 12 days straight, 90 hours all up. YUUUUUUUUCK. But luckily most of my shifts are nice morning non closing shifts so it isn't too bad. And I have one Jedi shift. 

Once again the weather is shitty. Storming everyday and it's been 100F for the past three freaking days! I hate summer weather :( I don't like being hot. 

Tonight I was bored and experimented with a new muffin recipe - banana, cranberry and carrot! Yum healthy food! 

Cast Appreciation!

Today was a big cast celebration and appreciation party to thank us for all our hard work during Star Wars Weekends. There were characters and free food and prizes to be won. So much fun! I won a limited edition Star Tours badge, the cooking book I've been wanting and some Hollywood Studios pins.

 They had chewbacca, ewoks, and chip and dale dressed as ewoks out in the party for us. 

I also got a very special meet and greet with Sully today! It helps having friends in Entertainment if you know what I mean! 

F"UN BIRTHDAY"

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday. Even though my birthday isn't till July. A lady at Hollywood Studios gave me a birthday button. It was fun to have so many people wishing me a Happy Birthday. Taisha, Emily and I went to Downtown Disney and had dinner at Wolfgang Puck's The Dining Room. I chose the mini steak off the kids menu and it was by far the most amazing meal I have eaten since I got to Disney!! 

They also gave us a free Caramel Snickers cheesecake for my fake birthday! The cheesecake was incredible. Absolutely fantastic!
