Dole whips

I finally got to ride the Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller coaster in the very front rows! Was such an awesome experience although your head gets really shaken around on the coaster.

I also tried my very first dole whip - it is small because I tried it at Epcot as part of the Flower and Garden festival. I thoroughly enjoyed it but then again I love pineapple!

I've come to the conclusion that I don't like living with other people, or at least people I don't know.

MINI ALLIGATORS!

What a day it has been!I left the apartment at 10am and didn't get home till 7pm! Angie and I hang out all day and managed to cram so much stuff in to today! We went to Super Target first (it's a clothing store, grocery store and a pharmacy all in one!) There I tried Starbucks for the very first time
Caramel Frappe with soy milk and no coffee
After Target we went and looked at some baby Alligators, I was going to feed them (they eat mini hot dogs!) but I chickened out

After looking at the Alligators we went to Golden Corral for lunch (I was really good and had steamed vegetables and some shrimp, but then I saw the carrot cake and ruined everything) and played some mini golf. The mini golf was pirate themed and they had little ducklings there! We managed to play 36 rounds for only $10, what a bargain!

I like to pretend I'm a pirate

Lunch time!
We then ventured on over to Walmart so Angie could get her hair dyed and I checked out America's version of Aldi. I much prefer the Australian ones. And like every other supermarket in America they sell alcohol!

Alcohol everywhere!

I FOUND VEGEMITE IN AMERICA!!! It cost me $11 freaking bucks though.

Is it home time yet?

It has been super stormy here. And the weather has been changing from hot and sunny to cold and overcast within hours. Which is making my knee swell like crazy so I am probably going to pick up a knee brace when I go to Walmart tomorrow. As well as some sleeping medication as I am only sleeping for roughly 2-3 hours a night, and that is really affecting my working life.

I just want to come home I suppose. This adventure wasn't what I thought it would be

Spring Fever

Last night was the Spring Fever tour here at House of Blues. Pierce the Veil and All Time Low co headlined along with You Me At Six and Mayday Parade. It was hands down on the best concerts I have EVER attended and I doubt anything will be able to top it for a very long time. I did have to leave early and miss out on All Time Low as I wasn't feeling so crash hot, but I'm not really into them all the much so it wasn't too bad. I was lucky enough to meet Josh, Matt and Max from You Me At Six which made my night that much better, I've been following the band since they first got together and were just a little unknown British myspace band. I don't know how I'm going to function during the withdrawals of awesomeness today.

It was also my friend Lisa's birthday yesterday so we had lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe which was really nice - the hotel looks very fancy.

ADVENTURE TIME

Breakfast: Low carb tortilla with a scrambled egg, saute mushrooms and mashed avocado
Today Kate and I set off on our adventure to explore the Mall at Millenia as well as the Ikea nearby (Kate had never been to an IKEA!!)
We explored the mall for what seemed like hours, trying on prom dresses in Macy's and getting helpful advice in teavana (I ended up buying three different types of loose leaf tea, 2 chai's and a green and a hot tea tumbler which has a built in infuser)

Kate and I - secretly we are bunnies
Teavana, $60 later! - seriously guys come to Australia!
We decided to try Johnny Rocket's for lunch - it is kinda like a retro style 50's dinner. I opted for the healthiest burger option they had, Streamliner, it had a soy patty thing on it as well as pickles, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and way too much mustard (massive disappointment there guys!)
Johnny Rocket's Streamliner for lunch (vegetarian soy patty)
Johnny Rocket's
It started to storm so we headed home to curl up. I decided that I didn't really feel like cooking anything for dinner so I went the easy way with a monster smoothie and some corn and I attempted to try and blend my two chai teas like they do in the store and it turned out really well!
Dinner: Green smoothie (frozen banana, spinach, shredded wheat, silk protein blend and greek yogurt) and a mini corn on the cob

I also decided that right now I feel like baking things so I have some zucchini bread in the oven (healthified of course! No sugar, butter or oil here guys) and I get to wear my adorable new apron from Ikea. It only cost me $3, I also picked up some of their apple cider as a reminder of my sister and home.

Super cute apron I bought at Ikea

I spent way too much money but overall had an amazing day with Kate exploring things other than Disney for a change.

Dressed up for the Outback

Yesterday was once again my only day off this week and boy oh boy was it an amazing day! It turned out to be free cone day at Ben & Jerry's ice creamery so we hit that place up! How could anyone turn down free ice cream?
Frozen yogurt - banana peanut butter
After the ice cream stop Rachel and I decided that we would get dressed up and attend one of Disney's housing events, Night of Stars, at the Premier Theater at Hollywood Studios. There was so much amazing talent but my two favourite acts were the baton twirling and the hip hop dancer
Rachel and myself

All dressed up
After the Night of Stars we were pretty hungry so Rachel decided that I should try Outback Steakhouse (t's apparently meant to be Australian or something like that). The food was delicious, it was superbly well priced and the service was fantastic! Needless to say, I will be going back there sometime soon!

Outback's signature Bloomin' Onion

Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp (They mean prawns!!)

Steak sandwich with sweet potato fries
It was a really fun day to take my mind of the homesickness I've been feeling lately, and it's always good to spend time with friends!

No More Parade!

I can not begin to describe how happy I am that Spring Break is over. I am finally starting to get some normal shifts again

I also totally forgot that my concert is next Wednesday. I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED! I've decided that I need to knuckle back down on my fitness while I'm here so I'll be able to get into the Police Academy when I get home. Therefore I have been living off celery, carrots and radishes along with turning my lunches and dinners into liquid meals!

My adorable bento box for work!
Today I got to actually see the Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun parade - it was also it's last run today so that made it even more memorable  I got to join in on the parade at the end and dance and sing with everyone! Disney Channel Rocks also had it's last show today, I feel really bad for those guys as a lot of them now don't have a job.

Star Wars weekends are coming soon! Get EXCITED! I adore Star Wars!!

Wilderness Lodge

Today was an amazing day spent with my American friends. We went to the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge and I tried a caramel milk shake (they have bottomless milkshakes!) as well as the pulled pork sandwich (I only managed two bites, the milkshake was super filling). We shared the flash fried bread and spring rolls as appetizers. After lunch we headed off to the mall where I bought a wicked awesome lunch box with compartments and owls! I am finally going to Walmart tomorrow to get food - I haven't been in over a month WHOOPS.  I still have crazy hours but hopefully it will slow down soon. I miss having my two days off.
