Too much Muppet Vision!

I survived my first 13 hour shift. I feel absolutely terrible though. I didn't sleep very well last night (as in like, only 2 hours total). I closed last night and got home around 11:30pm and had to be up at 5am for my 8am - 9:30pm shift today. TOO MUCH MUPPETS! Needless to say I was not a very happy camper. And to make matters worse my family are off on our family vacation to celebrate my dad's 50th birthday.

I don't understand why guests are getting mad at us when the parks hit capacity, they should realise that is spring break and Easter and that Disney World is going to be insanely hectic. I also don't understand how people manage to lose things constantly in our theater! Phones, cameras, bags and wallets just disappear. It is like a black hole for valuable.

It has been insanely cold here lately which is stupid as it's almost freaking April! I'm hoping it warms up soon, I really want to hit the water parks (disabled sharks for the win)

I've found a new love and it is called Banana Bread Oatmeal. It tastes freaking amazing. Just saying.

Anyway, I think it is time for me to try and get some well deserved rest!!!

Spring Break

I'm so sorry about neglecting you all! It has been super hectic here lately. Spring break and Easter holidays have started this week and continue on into next week so my hours are insane. 46 this week with one day off and 52 next week with one day off. I don't know when I'll be able to actually relax!

I am really missing home and my family and Jarrod a lot more right now. This year will be a hard one but totally worth it. Well, maybe not the kilo I've put on while being here but worth the experience!

I'm off to the Disney bank tomorrow to try and open a bank account here so I can actually save some money, that way I can go and visit California when my program is up!

Midnight closes

I finally did my first midnight close shift. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Although the not getting home till freaking 2am was a killer. I ended up sleeping in until 12pm and went to Animal Kingdom to ride Everest and Kali River Rapids. Both of which are incredible rides however Kali was a lot like Barnstormer. I was super excited to ride them but was left incredibly disappointed once I had gotten off. They were way too short with a lot of hype. Oh well, was still really really fun.

I am meant to be going to Epcot today with some work friends but it's storming, so I don't know. I also need to go to Walmart sometime soon to get more food but it is just so hard lugging everything onto the bus and then all the way back to Patterson and up to the 3rd floor.

I advise any American's planning on doing the CP program to bring your car! You will not regret it trust me.

First American Concert!

Thursday night was the best night I have had since I arrived in Orlando! I got to see one of my favourite bands perform at House Of Blues. SLEEPING WITH SIRENS KICKED FREAKING ASS! The Take It or Leave It Tour was incredible, and band merch here is super cheap! It's made me even more excited for Pierce The Veil next month!

Flower and Garden Festival

On Wednesday I went and explored the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. The topiaries are incredible! Below are just a few of the photos I took of the amazing festival. I will be back again I believe. The food was to die for as well! We tried the Angel Food Cake with Macerated Berries, Fushi and Green Tea Tart

POINTS!

So today they had to call the paramedics to come check me out. I was so sick. I had a crazy stomach ache, my head throbbed and was all light and dizzy. I nearly passed out while working the theater  I lost all feeling in my left arm and broke out in hives!
Totally not a fun experience. They had no idea what was wrong so I was sent home early. I won't be going into work tomorrow - my very first point :'( not impressed but I need to get better.

I'll also be heading to the doctor tomorrow so that shall be an interesting experience.

Hoping this passes quickly

Asian Market

It has still been super cold here! Around 5-8 degrees most mornings and nights (that is in Celsius guys!) It has just turned into Spring now so hopefully it will start warming up again.
All rugged up at work
Went on an Asian Market trip this week. I finally found everything I had been craving and missing from back home! And the best parts were that the trip was free and the market was super cheap. Could not be happier.
Peach bubble tea with tapioca balls

Mi Goreng - I squealed in the store. I miss these so badly

CRACKER NUTS!
I got the most adorable pin at work today! Mr Potato Head as Darth Vader!!! Unfortunately  it got traded out like 10 minutes after I got it :(

Magical

Yesterday we went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot to celebrate my friends acceptance into the Grad school that she has been dying to go to! It was a crazy hectic fun day. We rode Space Mountain twice. Back to back. I advise against doing that. I also finally got to see the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade which was really nice. We had dinner at Tokyo Dining at Epcot's Japan Pavilion and although it was lovely, I doubt I would go back. Over priced and I have had better Japanese food in Australia.

Princess and the Frog

Had an absolute blast at the Masquerade Ball. It was a meet and greet with characters from Princess and the Frog

Fantasmic

Yesterday was the best day I have had since I arrived in America! We went to Hollywood Studios and drew ( I however have no artistic talent and therefore do not have a picture of Rapunzel that I drew). We then went to Steak N Shake for lunch - they have been wanting to take me there for ages, apparently it is an American thing? I ordered a BLT without the bacon and a banana milkshake. After lunch we went back to Hollywood studios and rode The Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror and Rocking Rollercoaster. We then went and waited for Fantasmic to start!
Ashley, Ember, Me, Kate and Taisha waiting for fantasmic!

Fantasmic was amazing. One of the most incredible things Disney has on offer. I highly recommend everyone sees it at some point in time!

Sorcerer Mickey
After Fantasmic, we rushed over to Epcot to catch Illuminations - wasn't as full on as Fantasmic but incredibly heart warming and amazing to watch. We then went to Kouzzina by Cat Cora for tea. The place was okay, food was ridiculously expensive! I just ordered a side dish to save money.
Kouzzina at the Boardwalk
All in all, a fantastic day with incredible friends! I can't wait for our next day together
