Home Sweet Home

I realise I haven't updated in quite a while but I have been so very busy. I've arrived home safe and sound and am now dealing with the many doctor's appointments I have. 

My flights went well. American Airlines is sucky - old outdated planes and we came in way too fast into LAX airport and ended up bouncy on the runway during our landing! Air New Zealand is incredible and I think I shall try and fly with them as often as possible. Big comfy seats (then again I am only little), plenty of in flight entertainment, half decent food, flight attendants were incredibly friendly and all landings and takeoffs were smooth and not too scarey. 

Air New Zealand also had very nice plane food on the way to Auckland from Los Angeles

Dinner - couscous with chicken and carrots and a New Zealand berry cheesecake. I didn't eat the other things

Breakfast - fruit and a cranberry/orange muffin. I didn't eat the yogurt

 I was also offered food on my 3 hour flight to Brisbane from Auckland which was great as I was starving!

 I was met by my family and one very very happy boyfriend. I didn't have any trouble with getting my luggage or getting through customs. The new microchipped passports are a very big help with killing the time waiting in lines

I still have another 3 appointments to deal with this week - they're sending me broke

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

I was lucky enough to be able to explore Universal Studios and Island of Adventure for free! The two parks were flipping fantastic. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was absolutely amazing! 

Butterbeer is wonderful however quite sweet

 Three Broomsticks had a range of good tasting food - I opted for fish and chips with Pumpkin Juice

 Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a very very very well done ride. The concept is good, and they did an excellent job with theming (probably because they stole a bunch of Disney imagineers) 

 I even got to meet some adorable superheros and some villians!

 I managed to get onto Transformers in less than 5 minutes (gotta love single rider lines). The 3D component of this ride is magnificent, but the ride movement and track is pretty much identical to Dinosaur at Disney's Animal Kingdom  

We unintentionally all wore superhero (justice league specifically) tee shirts! 

4 days left

Quick update on my last few days at Disney. I've now met every character and only have a few things left at Magic Kingdom left to do which I plan to complete either Tuesday or Wednesday. I worked my last Disney shift today at Jedi Training Academy. Was a little upsetting. Bigger and better things are heading my way, I'm sure of it!

Tonight Kate and I are heading off to a Woody Welcome bash! Free food, prizes, dancing and characters. Should be plenty of fun for the both of us to just catch up before I head home (7 days!)
